Defined as a majestic peak, Matterhorn owes much to its seemingly handcrafted proportions. The peak is at its brightest when the sun glows on its top half, immersing the bottom in a shadowy wilderness. Straddling the border between Italy and Switzerland, this special peak holds a charm not many can deny.
While you might want to take a leisurely trip to the Matterhorn Klein, remember that with a Swiss pass, you’ll be paying half the price to get here!

Mount Rigi is the queen of the Swiss horizon. Located in the heart of Central Switzerland, this quaint mountain is well connected to every major railway station and is perfectly accessible.
Some of the best hiking trails in the country are accessible through Mount Rigi. Consider a day or two here, to take a short hike around, and return to a nice cabin in the hills. A thick fog is inevitable as the sun sets, but you might be able to get the most out of your visit in autumn. The season is best known for the multitude of fairs and fests it hosts up in the summits.
If you’re feeling extravagant, a number of mineral baths are available, apart from a dip in the lake!
