An Essential Checklist For Your Road Trip

Road trips are awesome. You get to dictate the terms of your journey, and you have the liberty to stop when you want, where you want. But, as fun as it sounds, a road trip can go terribly wrong with just a little miscalculation. Now if you are new to Wanderers Hub, you must know that I and Harsh love road trips. And as much as we love road trips, we hate getting stuck in the middle of the road due to lack of planning. That is why we present to you a list of absolute essentials for your road trip, so you avoid being stranded on inhospitable roadsides in the middle of nowhere.

First Aid Kit

This one’s a no-brainer. Carry your essential medicines, if you need any. Also, remember to carry the basics you might need in case of a fever, cold or upset tummy. If you’re driving up to the hills, some anti-motion sickness medicines cold come in handy. Throw in some extra band-aid and gauze-because why not?

Water, Food And A Blanket

You never know where your next pit stop might be. Always be on the safer side with some of your favorite protein bars in hand. Dehydration can ruin any trip in a matter of hours. Pack enough water to keep you hydrated – it also helps acclimatize quicker.

Auto Tool Kit

If you’re driving down in your own car, ensure you have a spare tire – apart from extra coolant and other juices your car might need. Having a breakdown in the middle of nowhere is the absolute worst thing that could happen. If you’re renting a car, ensure it has enough supplies. Also, educate yourself on how to use them.

Of course, we have swanky devices to show us the way but if you find yourself losing signal, a good map could really come in handy. Just throw in a few so you know where you’re going and can navigate back to reliable highways soon enough.

Paper Towels And Trash Bags

Since you’ll be eating, sleeping and drinking in your car, we’re guessing you’d like to keep it clean. And since it’d be hard to find someone to clean up your mess, you might want to carry some paper towels to keep yourself and your car clean. Always better to be clean than sorry.
