BEST PLACES TO VISIT IN JAIPUR
There are certainly a lot of places to list down under this category but I’d just start with my most favorite ones. These are essentially those places that I’d recommend anybody visiting Jaipur for the first time (in no special order of preference).
1. SHOP TILL YOU DROP AT BAPU BAZAR
The vibrant Bapu Bazar is in the heart of the town, and is so colorful that it blows me away every single time I head that way. It’s that kind of a place that shopaholics would place on top of their lists amongst other tourist places in Jaipur! From jewelry to juttis and from clothes to quilts, Bapu Bazar features shops of all the Rajasthani goodies that you can possibly dream of. I’ll recommend anyone looking for handicraft items to visit Suraj Handicrafts in Bapu Bazar. I really loved their collection, and the prices were reasonable. At Bapu Bazar, you can make the most of street side shopping whilst relishing the real ‘Pink’ side of the city in truest aspect.

2. A PICTURE AT THE FANCY PATRIKA GATE
(Hey instagrammers, this one is for you, I mean for us)
Picture-perfect Patrika Gate is the relatively new hotspot for photographers. This place is just a short distance away from Jaipur International Airport and you can easily fit it into your Jaipur itinerary either on the way in or out – but whatever you do, please don’t miss out on this one. The first time I saw it, I was stunned with its opulence – and oh boy those colors! The Instagrammer in me went berserk moving around capturing those dream-like shots. I must have spent about an hour just taking pictures inside out.Once you have had your fill of fun at Patrika Gate, go inside and explore the Jawahar Garden Circle. You can treat yourself to sumptuous street food at various food stalls serving chowmein, pav bhaji, chat, and a lot more. If you plan to stay back till the evening time, make sure you enjoy the musical fountain show which displays a spectrum of 316 different colors. It takes place from 7PM to 7:30PM, all seven days of the week.

3. GULAB JI CHAI WALA FOR THAT ADDICTIVE CUPPA TEA
It has never happened that I’ve visited Jaipur and given Gulab ji Chai Wala a miss. Chai, charcha and its chilled out vibe is what draws me to this unique ‘Chai ki Dukan’. This is definitely one of the best places to visit in Jaipur when you’re looking for that delicious cuppa to re-energize and keep going.
You will love meeting the zesty 94 years old Gulab Ji who serves tea and food to 200-250 beggars at 6 every morning. There wouldn’t be even a single dull moment outside this tea stall as it remains packed with friendly and talkative tea lovers. Just go ahead and strike a conversation to spend a blissful day sipping on some nice tea at Gulab Ji.
